S. Kampf & Sons Bung Factory (Stephen Kampf, malt shovels, bungs & taps)

c.1870–76 (first listed 1876) – after 1946

Not a brewery but a brewing-supply works. It made malt shovels and scoops for maltsters, and wooden bungs and taps for casks. It was on Jefferson St. by 1885 and was mapped as a 'Wood Bung Fact'y' in 1934 and 1950. It employed 4–5 men in the 1890s and ran a 20 h.p. steam engine in 1909.
