Brewing in Albany from at least 1819 (1,500 bbl in 1820); partner with John Taylor from 1822 (Fiddler & Taylor), then from c.1832 Fidler & Ryckman. His 1835 sworn answer to the Senate is a short treatise on ale colors, fermentation and why American brewers had no motive to adulterate.
